Geary County officials are in the process of working on a County employee pay study.

Commissioner Ben Bennett said Monday at the County Office Building  work will continue next week with a Skype web session with a consultant. That will be followed by a meeting the County’s Human Resource Director Lisa Eickholt on Wednesday of next week. “And start working with the Department Heads to bring all this together.”

Bennett noted they are looking at where Geary County is in order to be competitive in the labor market for both government and private sector jobs. “Those are things that we need to keep up with if we’re going to keep our employees here, and the benefits and packages that we give to them.”
