The 19th Annual Kicker Country Stampede is now in full swing at the Tuttle Creek State Park.
The four day country music festival kicked off Thursday with concerts by
6 Degrees West, Erik Dylan, John Pardi, Thomas Rhett, and headliner Easton Corbin.
As expected crowds have set record numbers and Kurt Muldrup, Head of Security explained that Thursday nights crowd was the largest he had seen in awhile. With that larger crowd he said for the most part everyone behaved themselves, but they still had a number of alcohol violations.
“We mean it about alcohol violations, the LEO is really strong on that. We’ve had a lot of ejections, written a lot of minor in possessions, different violations for alcohol, and we’re hitting that hard again to set the tone,” Moldrup said.
It seems like every year at some point during the festival mother nature decides that it needs to rain and this year is no different. It rained Friday morning and a little Friday afternoon but that didn’t stop any of the fans, in fact some come prepared.
“We have been in rainstorms and mud fests, we’re coming no matter what,” said Bridget Matthias of St. Joe, Missouri. “Why would you expect anything different, we bring our mud shoes and we like to people watch.”
The Festival continues Saturday with performances by Logan Mize, Joe Diffie, Will Hoge, Lee Brice, and Eric Church.
