OAKLEY- A semi-truck driver was injured when strong winds blew his truck off the highway just after 8 p.m. on Sunday in Logan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 International semi-truck driven by Rusty Lee McKinney, 36, Spring, TX., was southbound on U.S. 83, twenty-six miles south of Interstate 70. The wind blew the truck over and it came to rest on the driver’s side in the northbound lane.
McKinney was transported to Logan County Hospital.
The KHP reported he was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
