Improvement work is scheduled for much of this summer in Junction City on Jackson Street between 6th and 18th Streets.

The City’s Municipal Services Director Greg McCaffrey said the work will run from this week through August 11. It will involve replacement and re-construction of concrete segments of the roadway area.
Traffic will be reduced from four down to two lanes, with two-way traffic being maintained within the immediate construction areas, as the project progresses.
The work is expected to begin at Jackson and 18th Street, and proceed south toward 6th Street. Traffic signs and detours will be posted as each segment is reconstructed. Traffic delays can be expected.
