COTTONWOOD FALLS- Law enforcement authorities in Chase County are investigating a fatal accident that occurred after 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Chase County Sheriff’s Department reported a vehicle driven by Hunter Scott, 19, Cottonwood Falls, was northbound on Kansas 177.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and it traveled off the road. Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additional details will be released when an investigation into the cause of the accident is complete.
