A search warrant was executed and two people were arrested on drug related charges at 2610 Strauss Blvd. Apt. 1308, about 5 a.m. Friday in Junction City.

The Junction City – Geary County Drug Operations Group assisted by the Junction City – Geary County SWAT executed the search warrant after a month long investigation by the Drug Operations group into suspected drug sales at the residence.

Police reported that Steven Christopher Simpson, 24, Junction City was arrested on suspicion of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering a Child, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Bethany Marie Johnson, 25, Junction City was arrested on suspicion of Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering a Child, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both were confined at the Geary County Detention Center pending their first appearance in Geary County District Court.

Police said the Drug Operations Group seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
