Movoto.com ranked Manhattan ahead of Lawrence and Hays in the list of cities in Kansas with more than 10,000 population.

Factors such as nightlife, live music venues, restaurants and the percentage of young residents were considered.

Manhattan ranked No. 1 for both its number of restaurants per capital and lack of fast food eateries.

Lawrence was noted for how it “caters to the young and young at heart, with the most nightlife and music venues.”
