No major problems were reported in connection with the thunderstorm that rolled through Geary County Sunday evening

Multiple area counties including Geary, were under a severe thunderstorm warning as the storm produced heavy rain and gusty winds.
Geary County Emergency Management Director Garry Berges says there were a few small tree limbs down across the county, “especially west of Junction City.” Berges noted officials checked all the roads and did not see any major damage.
The National Weather Service did report 60 mph winds 10 miles south of Junction City, and 68 mph winds two miles north-northeast of Junction City.
Farther west there were reports by the National Weather Service of 78 mph winds at the Abilene Airport, and estimated 60-65 mph winds six miles east-southeast of Abilene.
