The Junction City Blue Jays ( 9-13 ), play the Manhattan Indians ( 20-2 ), in the first round of the Class 6A State Baseball Tournament Thursday, May 29, at Hoglund Stadium at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

The game is scheduled at 4 p.m. on the 29th. Junction City is the number eight seed, while Manhattan is the top seed in the tournament.

The same side of the bracket finds Shawnee Mission East ( 17-5 ) playing Maize ( 16-6 ) in the first round.

The other side of the bracket has Washburn Rural ( 19-3 ), against Wichita Northwest ( 12-10 ), and Overland Park – Blue Valley West ( 18-4), will play Overland Park – Blue Valley ( 15-7 ).

The tournament semifinals and finals are Friday, May 30th. The championship game is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th.
