The Junction City area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the newest Pharmacy in town Thursday.

Kollhoff Pharmacy has been open for the past month at 407 S. Washington in Junction City.

John Kollhoff, Owner and Pharmacist explained that they are a full line pharmacy,” we also have compounding services, so we can compound hormone replacement therapy. We do a lot of stuff for vets, we also do pain creams, a lot of demand for that lately.”

Kollhoff also mentioned that they are working on getting setup with medical equipment but that is a long process and it will take a few months to get that going.

On Tuesday at the Junction City Commission meeting Kollhoff Pharmacy was awarded a $100,000 loan from the city’s revolving loan fund.

Kollhoff said that he plans to use that money to make some structural improvements and landscaping to the outside of the building.

“In the next couple of weeks I don’t know if you will see anything to dramatic. We’re probably just going to try and get caught up and get everything up to speed here. But within the year we hoping to put up a drive-thru on the north side, we’ll also do some facade improvements to the building to help improve with energy efficiency as well as security.”

The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

Kollhoff is also partnering with the Geary Community Healthcare Foundation as a part of their grand opening. For every new or transferred prescription they will donate $1 to GCHF to benefit the Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies program.
