The Junction City Fire Department will be conducting their annual fire hydrant flushing program for the foreseeable future.

They began flushing in Zone 4 and Zone 5 Tuesday. This will be south of K-18, south of 6th street and west of Jackson Street.

They will be flushing hydrants between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Residents may experience brown or rusty water during this time. The JCFD suggests that you refrain from washing clothes during these hours. If your water does not clear up by the next day, please call Junction City Public Works at 238-7142.
