The fireworks  show for Sundown Salute in Junction City this year will be locally produced, not imported from out of town.

According to Sundown Salute Coordinator Sharon Glessner the show this year will be provided by Roger Bennett of Junction City. “And that will be on Friday night on July 4 at 10:30 this year.”

Bennett will shot the fireworks off from a location below the viaduct area on E. Sixth St., the same location as in past years.

Glessner said this year’s show will be longer, and will run at least 15 minutes.

Bennett has provided the successful fireworks shows for the Junction City Generals and Brigade baseball teams during their years of existence at Rathert Field.
