HUTCHINSON –One person was taken to the hospital and one to jail after a two-vehicle accident Friday evening in Hutchinson.
Police reported that a vehicle driven by Jimmy Behel, 31, collided with a vehicle driven by Richard Nicklaus, 76, at the intersection of 11th and Elm Streets. Both drivers are from Hutchinson.
Behel was arrested and charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, failing to give information at an accident and failing to yield at a posted stop sign.
Nicklaus was transported to emergency room at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.
