Activities connected with the annual National Biplane Fly In are scheduled June 5 through June 8 in Junction City.  It will be headquartered at the airport…..Freeman Field.

A spokesman for the event, Ken Mortenson, stated this week they’re anticipating about 100 planes for the event. “They’ll start coming in probably Wednesday or Thursday. We’ve got some coming from Florida and California again. ”

Mortenson noted Saturday ( june 7 ) is the big public day for the Fly In.  That day there will be food and vendors operating, a flight simulator for children, and at least one biplane ride provider will be in attendance.

There will be Thursday night activities for the pilots. Friday night they will be able to attend the season opening baseball game for the Junction City Brigade baseball team at Rathert Field.
