Severe thunderstorm cells moved out of Dickinson County and travelled rapidly in a northeasterly direction through Junction City and Geary County Wednesday evening

There were no injuries and no major structure damage.

The storm, which came through in a major wave, followed by a smaller second round passed through Junction City in the nine and ten o’clock hours, bringing with it two rounds of pea size hail.

Geary County Emergency Management Director Garry Berges reported that a Sheriff’s deputy reported dime sized hail covered Lyons Creek Road about five miles southwest of Junction City.

The storm moved through the Junction City and Grandview Plaza area before moving northeast.
