The final candidates to be interviewed for the superintendent of schools position for Geary USD 475 have been identified by District officials.

They are Dr. Deb Gustafson, currently principal of Ware Elementary School in USD 475, and Katina Brenn, currently the executive director of exceptional student services for USD 475. They will be interviewed by the Board of Education on Monday.

School district leaders are seeking a successor to Ron Walker, who is retiring in June.

Three candidates who have already interviewed for the position include Dr. Darren Dennis, Assistant Superintendent of Schools and Director of Learning Services for Garden City, USD 457; Dr. Steve Noble, Superintendent of Schools for Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh USD 410 in Hillsboro; and Dr. Corbin Witt, Executive Director of School Improvement for USD 305 in Salina.
