Mother Nature arrived Monday with more snow for the Geary – Riley County area.

No major accidents were reported but authorities did confirm there were multiple vehicle slideoffs due to the slushy roads.

Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf said there was some snow packed area primarily east of Junction City along the Interstate. “I-70 east of Junction City seems to be where the heaviest band if this is coming down. That’s kind of par for the course for that area of the county. ” The 302 mile marker along the interstate was a problem area.

Riley County police reported about 10 slide offs or motorist assist calls had come in by 11:30 a.m.
