The preliminary hearing in Geary County District Court for Christopher Dale Lyman and Tammerisk Irene Lyman, was continued Thursday until June 4.
The defense moved for the continuance following the arrival of new KBI reports in the case. According to Assistant Geary County Attorney Michelle Brown the prosecution had just received those reports on Wednesday.
Christopher Dale Lyman is charged with First Degree Murder and Child Abuse, and Brown confirmed that Tammerisk Irene Lyman is charged with Aggravated Child Endangerment and Felony Obstruction. The allegations stem from the death of an 8-month old infant boy.
The boy was brought into the emergency room at Geary Community Hospital on September 15, 2013, and later transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. with major injuries. On Sept. 18 police learned the boy had died.
Brown confirmed Tammerisk Irene Lyman is free on $10,000 bond, while Christopher Dale Lyman is confined with his bond set at one million dollars.
