The Kansas State women’s basketball team couldn’t quite clinch their final season game against
TCU last night in Bramlage Coliseum. K-State (11-18, 5-13 Big 12) and TCU (17-12, 8-10) traded leads back and forth the entire game, with freshman Kindred Wesemann of K-State leading the team with 13 points.
According to kstatesports.com, the teams traded leads nine times in the first half alone, but ended the half up by 4. Both teams struggled to score in the second half, but TCU would take the lead and keep late in the game.
K-State’s next game will be in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the 2014 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships. The Wildcats will play Kansas in the third Sunflower Showdown of the season. The game will be Friday, March 7 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. The game will be broadcast by Fox College Sports, and the tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
