Longtime 8th Judicial District Court Administrator Cecil Aska is planning to retire.

He told JCPost.com that his final day on the job will be March 15, with a retirement reception on March 21. “Be retiring after approximately 33 years of working in the judicial system.”
Aska began his career in the 3rd Judicial District in Topeka as a juvenile intake officer doing crisis intervention and child abuse investigations. In 1990 he said he returned to Junction City, his hometown, to head the probation department. Aska, 61, has served as 8th Judicial District Court Administrator for approximately 15 years.
Following his retirement Aska will be the General Manager of the Junction City Brigade summer collegiate baseball team that he helped establish in the community.
