The water main break that effected the Junction City Police Department and Geary County Sheriff’s Department early Friday morning has been fixed.

Junction City Public Works crews fixed the break at 119 E 9th street just before 11:00 a.m., it was first reported just before 8 a.m. Friday.

The break is the fourth to occur at 119 E. 9th St. in the past month and a half. Freezing and thawing ground near the water main is suspected as the cause of Friday mornings break.
