NFL scouts will be watching K-State hopefuls lineman Cornelius Lucas and long snapper Marcus Heit in Indianapolis, Indiana later this month. The 2014 NFL Scouting Combine will be February 22-25, where 25 Big 12 players were invited to work out on the first day of the Combine.
According to kstatesports.com, Heit will be the only long snapper in the nation to be invited to Indianapolis, and Lucas is one of three Big 12 linemen. Lucas started 26 games as a left tackle, earning All-Big 12 honors his junior and senior year. Heit, from Derby, KS, was successful on all 363 combined punt and filed goal snaps during his career.
