According to a press release from Geary Community Hospital, only essential personnel are being asked to report for work Tuesday due to the impending weather.

Patients scheduled for routine visits in one of the hospital’s rural health clinics and those with scheduled exams in a department that can wait are being encouraged Monday to reschedule. Surgeries already scheduled will proceed.

The Emergency room will be open round-the-clock. Alpha Care, the hospitals walk-in minor emergency clinic, will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Medical Arts I, Suite 105.

The Chapman Clinic will be closed.

Employees are expected to return to work Wednesday as normal. The essential personnel exception applies to Tuesday only.
