The Junction City Lady Jays will open play against Leavenworth in the first round of the 2014 Firebird Winter Classic at Lawrence Free State High School on Thursday.

Junction City, 3-7, will meet Leavenworth, 10-0, in a first round game at three p.m. Thursday. The same half of the tournament bracket finds Maize meeting Hutchinson. The other half of the eight-team bracket has Seaman playing Free State, and Olathe South meeting Sumner.

The tournament continues Friday and Saturday at Lawrence Free State.
