The new CVS Pharmacy in Junction City will hold it’s grand opening and ribbon cutting Sunday morning.

In May of 2012 Susan Jagerson, Junction City EDC Specialist, began talking to CVS Pharmacy about opening a store in Junction City. It took quite sometime but a year and a half later the store is ready to open it’s doors.

“I think it’s a really good draw for Junction City as far as location and everything,” Jagerson said.

The store is located at the southeast corner of E Chestnut and S Washington in Junction City.

CVS was originally scheduled to open before the Christmas holiday season. Due to a back log at other stores they decided to push it back to after the first of the year.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 7:45 a.m. Sunday with the doors officially opening for business at 8 o’clock.
