The Chief of Police in Grandview Plaza Shawn Peirano has reported that a white female was found dead abvout 5:30 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of West Grandview Drive.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Grandview Plaza Police Department with the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday ( Dec. 30 ).

The name of the individual is being withheld until positive identification can be made and next of kin can be notified.
