U.S. Senator Jerry Moran said on Saturday that legislation renaming

the outpatient veteran’s clinic in Junction City after the late Lieutenant General Richard Seitz has been approved by the Veteran’s Committee in the Senate. “And should be on the Senate floor within the next month when Congress reconvenes.”

Moran stated he could not imagine any significant controversy with the legislation. “We expect this to be one that we can get accomplished. And then we hope to be in Junction City at an opportunity to honor General Seitz with the naming of that building.

The Junction City Community-Based Outpatient Clinic as it’s now known is located at 715 Southwind Drive on the west side of the city.

Moran provided information on the subject during an interview with JCPost.com and during a Town Hall meeting in Grandview Plaza.
