Hazel Pauline McIntyre, a former resident of Bennington, KS, passed away at the Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center in Salina, KS on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the age of 79.
Hazel is survived by her husband Harvey of their home in Bennington; five sons: Harvey McIntyre IV, James McIntyre of Kansas City, MO, Thomas L. McIntyre of Bennington, Jerry P. McIntyre of Waubaunsee County, KS, and Larry McIntyre of rural Waubaunsee County, KS; three daughters: Shirley McIntyre, Suzanne Westfall, and Cathlene McIntyre; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also survived by two sisters: Wilma McIntyre and Velma Ferguson; one brother Harold Waters. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Iva Waters.
Hazel requested cremation, and the family will have a private burial of the ashes at the Liberty Cemetery, west of Upland, KS, on 3400 Ave. The Londeen Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.The family has requested Memorials be given to the Memorial of the Donor’s Choice.
