November was colder than average and drier than average.

That’s the weather report for the month from Geary County Extension Agent Chuck Otte.

The average daily high in November was 52.9, 0.9 degrees below average.  The average overnight low was 27.7, which was 4.3 degrees below average. That gave the county a monthly mean temperature of 40.3, 2.6 degrees below average.

November is the county’s fourth driest month of the year with average precipitation of 1.55 inches. Average snowfall is a mere one inch.  There was no snow recorded this year in November, and rainfall was only 0.39 inches in Junction city and 0.50 inches at Milford Lake.
