Two-time defending state wrestling champion Andrew Millsap of Junction City was injured last weekend.
His coach at Junction City High School Bob Laster said Millsap went to a national tournament in Colorado. “And while he was wrestling in the finals he ended up breaking his lower leg. His doctor right now is predicting that he’ll be out for 6 to 8 weeks.”
That is not a season ending injury for Millsap, who is a senior at Junction City High School, and is projected to wrestle in the 152 pound weight class this season.
Practice for the high school season begins Monday. The season runs through late February.
