Kansas State’s Leticia Romero has earned the first Big 12 Freshman of the Week honor this season.

For the weekend she averaged 20.5 points on a .765 field goal percentage, including a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, and a .750 free throw percentage ( 12-of-16 ).

Romero, a product of Las Palmas, Spain, helped Kansas State to a 2-0 start as the Wildcats defeated Tennessee State and Charlotte.
