The Flint Hills Veterans Coalition is proud to announce the schedule of events for the 2013 Veterans Day Parade to be held on Monday November 11, 2013 beginning at 9:30 A.M. in Manhattan.

Preceding the parade, breakfast will be served at the American Legion, Post 17, 114 McCall Road, in Manhattan from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Active duty and veterans eat for free. Tickets for others are $5 and are available at the door.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Senator Jerry Moran. The parade will begin at 3^rd & Poyntz in front of the Manhattan Town Center Mall and travel west to 11^th Street. The reviewing stand will located at 5^th & Poyntz in front of the Courthouse with parade commentary by Ron Frank. Over 100 parade entries including Ft. Riley, 2,200 school children, marching bands, veteran’s organizations, elected officials and others will pay tribute to our veterans and active duty soldiers.

Following the parade, a special ceremony will be held inside the Wareham. Guest speaker will be Senator Jerry Moran.
