Authorities Report Two Fires in Junction City Saturday

Junction City firefighters and police responded to a fire call at Papa John’s Pizza at 204 Grant Avenue #D about 10:10 Saturday morning.

No one was injured.

A check with the Junction City Fire Department revealed a malfunctioning belt on a furnace was involved. There was smoke in the attic and a little smoke inside the store.

According to The JCPD tour log report there was a residential structure fire about 8 a.m. Saturday at 364 Grant Avenue #21B for a trailer on fire. No one was injured. Red Cross was notified.
