First Infantry Division officials have announced that Mildred Muhammad, ex-wife of John Allen Muhammad, is scheduled to speak from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at Parent Central / Kids on Site Child Care Facility at 6620 Normandy Drive on Fort Riley. John Allen Muhammad, along with his 17-year-old partner, Lee Boyd Malvo, carried out the Beltway sniper attacks of October 2002, killing at least 10 people.

Mildred Muhammad is a domestic violence survivor. Her presentation, “A Survivor’s Story,” will be about her struggle to obtain support services for herself and her children after being stalked by her ex-husband.

The event is part of a month-long series of events scheduled to observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
