Junction City is on the list for KDOT geometric improvement program funding in fiscal year 2016.

Junction City will be allotted $268,000 for a pair of intersection improvement projects at 6th and Washington, and Washington and Franklin.

A KDOT release also said Junction City is due to receive KLINK program money in fiscal year 2015 for overlay work on Washington Street from East Chestnut to 6th Street, and then on 6th Street to Franklin Street. The KLINK program provides either 50 percent or 75 percent of the project cost ( not to exceed $200,000 ) , based on population.
