The Junction City Blue Jay boys varsity cross country team placed fourth out of 13 schools participating in the season opening Manhattan Invitational on Saturday.
Junction City was led by Stephen Deveau, who finished 19th in 18:00.7. Nick Arneson finished 41st in 18:14.7. Manhattan won the team title with the low score of 15 points. They were followed by Wamego with 90, Seaman, 100, and Junction City with 131.
In girls competition Junction City did not field a full team. Deisjambra Bisio turned in the top time for the Lady Jays in 16:39.4.
