Trick or treaters enjoyed Halloween

Kids were out in force Thursday evening trick or treating in Junction City. Junction City Police Sergeant Eliel Borges said the weather held up with no snow on the ground and the evening went smooth. “We had pretty good groups in the Indian Ridge area, Spring Valley Addition and some over there near the North Park area.” There were no injuries.

Borges enjoys Halloween. “I don’t mind it at all. My kids grew up trick or treating here in town so now I have the opportunity to watch other kids trick or treat in town.”

The regular JCPD patrol officers along with five additional officers were monitoring the Halloween activity that also included the Flint Hills Church block party, which is an annual event for that church.
