JUNCTION CITY – The Junction City Middle School (JCMS) Parent Support Team (PST) invites the community to participate in its inaugural Snowman Shuffle 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at JCMS, 700 Wildcat Lane. Participants are encouraged to wear festive hats, scarves and other holiday attire.
Race registration is online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/snowman-shuffle-registration-75378279463. The fee is $25 for the 5K, which will be timed, and $7 for the fun run, which will not be timed. All participants receive pancake feed tickets, and 5K participants receive race t-shirts. After Nov. 13, the 5K fee increases to $30. Children three years of age and younger may participate for free.
The PST seeks sponsors for this event, which coincides with the school’s annual pancake feed and vendor fair. Proceeds will support JCMS’s Renaissance Program, which fosters academic achievement and good attendance and behavior. All sponsors will be recognized; top sponsors will be named on race t-shirts and advertising. The deadline for advertised sponsorship is Nov. 1. Donation level may be selected and paid online at the Snowman Shuffle registration page.
In case of inclement weather, the 5K will be canceled and the fun run will be moved indoors, with 5K participants encouraged to join in.
