Volunteers are invited to give local elderly and disable home owners assistance with outdoor projects they need to have done during the United Way Day of Caring on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Junction City.

Volunteers are asked to bring equipment with them. Lunch will be sponsored by the DAV. All volunteers can attend lunch at 12:30 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Covenant, 314 North Adams.

Some of the duties that will need to be performed during the Day of Caring can range from mowing and trimming grass and raking leaves to cleaning gutter, cleaning exterior windows and changing smoke detector batteries or light bulbs.
