Geary County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to mile marker 12 on K-57 Highway Tuesday morning for a two-vehicle injury accident.

The Sheriff’s Department reported that Jody Foreman, Junction City, was driving south on K-57 in a Chevrolet 1500 when the vehicle was struck head-on by a Kia optima driven by Dwayne Winright, Dwight. Winright was transported to Geary Community Hospital with head injuries.
