Undefeated, 5-0 Junction City, will square off against 4-1 Manhattan in football Friday night at Bishop Stadium in Manhattan.
Blue Jay coach Randall Zimmerman said he hoped that he had done enough to prepare his players for this game. “The new kids that had no idea what it’s like, I hope we’ve done enough to get them mentally ready to go.
Zimmerman noted there’s a lot on the line in this game. “There’s a lot on the line for playoffs, for league standings, pride for a lifetime. and all those kind of things.”
The winner of the game will possess the Sportsmanship Trophy for the next year. It is awarded to the winner of this game each year. Junction City won in 2018 by a score of 9-7.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. You can hear the game on 107.9 FM and 1420 KJCK with the pregame show beginning at 6:30 p.m.
