GEARY COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Friday in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Freightliner box truck driven by Austin L. Sanderson, 23, Concordia, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just west of the U.S. 77 exit. The truck rear-ended a 2018 Kia Forte driven by Delphia Lou Gallaher, 80, Hawthorne, Nevada.

EMS transported Gallaher to Geary County Hospital. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
