Ruth Mae Gallaway, 96, Topeka died August 23, 2019. She was born December 6, 1923 in Dickinson County to Edward and Myrtle (Day) Horner.
Ruth was a graduate of Junction City High School. She was employed in food services most of her adult life. Ruth married Franklin Gallaway, Sr. in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1998. Also proceeded by daughter Cora Brown and son Franklin Gallaway, Jr, sister Eva Reese and brothers George and Ben Horner.
She is survived by daughters Bonnie Hoffman, Mary (Claude) Gillum and Ethel Wilson, sons LeRoy and George Gallaway,brother Charles (Laveta) Horner, 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside inurnment was August 30 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
