Geary County Commissioners received a  review from county emergency management this week on an applicant briefing with FEMA that occurred on July 17th. Commissioner Keith Ascher said it involved recovery money for the county, “for what we had to spend due to flooding issues.”

Ascher said as of now it appears the reimbursement for Geary County will be 75 to 80% of what the county spent.

Heavy rains caused challenges earlier this summer.
