The United Way of Junction City / Geary County tried something new at the Free Fair this year, a chili cook off. That was held on Monday.

Lisa and Rich Hart of Court Appointed Special Advocates captured first place followed by Sue Penn in second and Ron Jackson of Hot Rodz BBQ in third. There were six contestants in the cook off. A total of $375 was raised for the annual United Way campaign.
