Geary County Commission Chairman Charles Stimatze announced on Monday that since letters for the collection of delinquent property taxes went out on April 1, 2018 the County has collected $765,593.03. There are still 100 properties on which delinquent taxes are owed.

Stimatze estimated there could possibly be a tax sale toward the end of 2019 or early in 2020.
