She returned to Junction City and worked for a time for Hoover Law Firm. She later worked for 20 years doing all the health insurance work for Clay Center Family Physicians in Wakefield and Clay Center. After retiring, she worked several years as a Para-Professional at Eisenhower Elementary School in Junction City.
Pat was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church, and a long-time member of the Parish Council of the church. She also was an active volunteer at the Wakefield Museum.
Pat married Sam Auld on August 18, 1962 at St. Xavier Church in Junction City. Sam survives. Other survivors include: a son, Andy Auld and his wife Lynn, Clay Center; 2 daughters, Susan Pearson, Wakefield, and Amy Johnson and her husband, Drew, Tonganoxie; a sister, Deborah Barker and her husband, David, Wichita; and 12 grandchildren, Gabrielle Scheidt, Anjelica Scheidt, Emilie Pearson, Ben Johnson, Matt Johnson, Zoe Auld, Jorja Auld, Reece Auld, Sam Gleue, Carson Bliss, Macy Bliss, and Chandler Bliss. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Debra Auld in 2011.
It was Pat’s request to be cremated.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., July 3, 2019 at St. Xavier Catholic Church, with Fr. Peter O’Donnell presiding. The family will greet friends, prior to the Mass, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Johnson Funeral Home, Junction City. Inurnment will be at a later date at Madura Cemetery, Wakefield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to St. Xavier Catholic Church and or the Wakefield Museum.
