The Geary County Sheriff’s Department said Deputies responded to K-57 Highway at mile marker six at 2:13 a.m. Monday for a car – deer accident.

Kiera D. Sheffler, Junction City, was driving a 2018 Buick Encore when she struck a deer in the roadway. Sheffler was transported by the Junction City Fire Department to Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley with possible injuries.
