The JC Breakfast Optimist Club donates to the Fort Riley Special Needs Rodeo

The JC Breakfast Optimist Club presented a check for $200 this week to Laurie McCauley with the Fort Riley Special Needs Rodeo. The funds will be used to purchase t-shirts.

The rodeo will be held July 20th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Geary County 4-H Arena on South Spring Valley Road. Activities will include hand-rocked bareback riding, face painting, arena rides with the rodeo queen, horse and buggy rides and roping of an artificial steer.

The rodeo will be free for Fort Riley Exceptional Family Members. EFMP is a Department of Defense program for any active duty Soldier’s family member diagnosed with a physical, emotional, development or intellectual disorder that requires special treatment, therapy, education, training or counseling.
