Stuff the Bus will be a key summer effort coordinated by Junction City – Geary County United Way. The Back to School supply collection effort for students in USD 475, Saint Xavier School  and some daycares is scheduled July 13-27.

United Way Executive Director Nicole Mahder said they collect items ranging from pens, pencils and paper to crayons. “Those supplies will be delivered to the schools before the first day of school. ”

Stuff the Bus brought in more than 15,000 items in 2018. Mahder stated, “We raised more money in cash donations than we have in the past.” She added they almost tripled the number of supplies provided from the time Stuff the Bus began. This will be the tenth year for the program. Volunteers will be needed for this effort.
